BOM Karting Team, sponsored also by Supsan, completed the 2023 Motul Turkish Karting Championship in the second place in Teams category. BOM Karting Team also won the second and third places in the Pilots Master category, leaving its mark on the 2023 season.
Borusan Otomotiv Chief Executive Officer Hakan Tiftik congratulated BOM Karting Team’s success as the team achieved second place in Teams category in all three seasons in the Turkish Karting Championship, and added, “Our BOM Karting Team made us proud on the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Our team completed the 2023 season of Motul Turkish Karting Championship with three trophies in total and I would like thank them for the joy and happiness they brought us.”
Borusan Otomotiv Board Member Levent Kocabıyık also shared his comments and said, “This success in karting, the gateway to automobile sports, is very meaningful and valuable for our efforts to encourage young people to enter this field which is the founding purpose of BOM. We are very happy that the BOM Karting team, which we founded only 3 years ago, has achieved a place on the podium in the Turkish Karting Championship for three consecutive seasons. I sincerely congratulate all my teammates who contributed to the successes achieved in motorsports in Türkiye’s 100th anniversary.”
BOM Karting Team Director Ahmet Köseleci stated that they competed in a total of seven legs on four different tracks in the 2023 season of Motul Turkish Karting Championship, and added, “I would like to congratulate our pilots and our entire technical team for their successful results throughout the season in the Master category as well as the Mini category, where the highest number of pilots competed. We will soon announce the new pilots joining us in the 2024 season which we will start with the goal of championship.”
Competed in the Master and Mini Categories
BOM Karting Master category pilot Mustafa Can Özdoğan achieved second place in the championship with his performance throughout the season, while Muratcan Eğilmez secured the third place on the podium in the last race at İzmit Körfez Track. Volkan Saatçioğlu and Suat Mızrak, two other pilots also competing in the Master category, completed the championship with the valuable support they gave to the team in their first season.
Efe Ayhan represented BOM Karting Team in the Mini category and completed 2023 Motul Turkish Karting Championship in 10th place while Demir Uyan achieved 11th place.
Successful Teams and Pilots Received Their Trophies at TOSFED 2023 Season Gala Event
All successful names of the season received their awards at the TOSFED 2023 Season gala event that took place in an enchanting atmosphere. Members of the BOM Karting Team received the trophy for the second place in Teams category in the highly competitive 2023 Motul Turkish Karting Championship. Can Özdoğan and Muratcan Eğilmez also received their trophies in the pilots category for achieving second place and third place, respectively, in the Master category. BOM Karting Team completed the 2023 Motul Turkish Karting Championship with three trophies in total.
